Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I have a 10/22 takedown also...great little gun. I also had a 10/22 when I was a kid and, from my experience, they'll work fine with just about any ammo out there. There are a few types that are marketed as "quiet" ammo that don't have enough blowback to cycle a semi-auto, but most 22lr ammo will work fine. It's a little hard to find right now though. Keep checking this site: http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/rimfire/22lr/

Personally, I only buy it when I can get it for under $0.10 per round (shipping included).

Rep!

Fleet Farm, where I purchased, was out of 22 ammo. Said guys walk in at 8 AM, ask to see if any came in, and then walk out. Interesting.

Anyone have any experience with a loose stock? My 12 guage Browning A-500R has a rubber Browning recoil pad on it. Not sure if it's glued on or what.

Went to the gun show at metcalf and 115th there was a lot of people there, not much 22lr ammo as expected but a good selection of most everything else.

Cheapest I could find was CCI for .20$ at PSA.

Do you have a scope on yours?

I went there yesterday, and thought the selection was a little better than the gun show near KCI last week. Not what I expected considering the KCI show had twice as many tables.

Saw plenty of new and used lever guns, and almost bought one. I definitely need to add one to my collection sooner or later.

I love the fact I saved over $100 by ordering my rifle online, but I hate how slow the time is passing while I wait for it to arrive. Also, being that it is Sunday, no mail is moving anyways...

I have had my takedown for a little over a year now. Great rifle.

Get you some of the BX-25 ruger mags. They have finally started to get cheaper again.

As far as ammo goes.... just keep searching.

Fortunately I loaded up with a couple thousand rounds before everything went to complete hell.
