Wonder if anyone on the Donkeys board ever asks about what to do on a vacation to Kansas City

One of things I want to do sometime soon that we have never done is a train ride through the mountains.

I hear that the eastern 1/3 of Colorado is nice. I think there are some great resorts near the Kansas border.

Definitely a cool thing to do, but only if you have an extra day to burn. On a first trip to Colorado I'd probably drive just to be able to stop at more places along the way.

we really enjoyed Mt. Evans. And we went to Garden of the Gods in CS then the New Belgium Brewery tour in Ft. Collins (one of the best I've been on)

Yesterday I saw a truck that was apparently out of gas. Cruised a little further down the road and the owner of the truck was carrying a gas can down the street. Wearing only a black tank top and underwear. You couldn't even call them boy shorts. They were lacey little nothings. Frantically pretending to be busy with her phone while car loads of people stared.
That was cool to see.

She was across (sort of) from a gas station. I really wanted to take a picture but I was pretending to be a mature mommy for my kids.
But if she didn't have that thing filled in under 10 minutes then she definitely didn't know how to use her assets to their full potential. The gas can too.

been goin to Colorado for 43 yrs, trust me, go to estes park. best drive around is take the peak to peak highway which goes through Blackhawk & central city on its way to estes.
once in estes make sure and take in as much of rocky mountain national park as you can do, at least trail ridge road over to winted park & back. you wont regret it, best way to kill a few days, have fun. if you want the best BBQ in the world stop at daves smoking BBQ in estes, awesome food, cant be beat. have fun |

Nope, I've been through there though and that narrows you down to 1 of 250 people according to 2000 census.
I find it fascinating to see where posters on the board are located. Don't worry though, I'm not like Skip Towne or anything. Have you ever been here? |
