David Letterman to retire from 'Late Show' in 2015

That puts him at right around 33 years on nightly t.v. Wow. Amazing. Wonder if Bill Murray will be on his last show... You know Chris Elliott will be back and there'll be a tribute to Larry Bud. You can tell it's time for him...but still sad. End of an era.

He really did age into a crankypants, but 80s Dave was the shizz. Just so off the wall and goofy. Go track down some youtubes or other archive footage.

Still think Late Night Conan was the show I enjoyed the most, though. Although Arsenio started off on FIRE!! Even my parents were hooked on it. Possibly the only show outside prime time that they VCRed back then.

Craig Shumacher was his name, I think....did an incredible impression of Magic and had hilarious observations of Magic and how inept he was at hosting that show...

Chevy Chase was just...awful. He seemed so unlikable in that show. Presumably a total letdown to those who expected more from him, since he was the first ever Weekend Update dude on SNL.

The Pat Sajak Show. I forgot that show even existed... Nostalgia.
The Magic Hour was the perfect thing for Howard to bust on. Best of the Stern Show outside Babba Booey's apology.

Since Stern is in the mix, her's part one of 7 of the Booey apology reveal

And who gives a shit about making celebrities "more human". I mean I can understand with Xenu invading Hollywood they may not all be human, but celebrity worship is for soccer moms and teenagers.

This is great news, if it means Craig Ferguson is on earlier. He's far and away the funniest person on late night TV.

Chris Rock would be a nice replacement. He's probably too edgy for the Blue Haired network though.

I remember being in high school watching the morning show in 1980 with my Mom. (HBD, Mom!)

Yes, the show has lost it's edge lately, but I've grown up/old watching Letterman.

He'll be missed.
