2009 Mock Draft

I thought this was odd...

"The draft order in this mock draft was determined by calculated judgment on how I believe the teams will fair this season. All of the prospects in this mock draft are eligible for the 2009 draft, but just because they’re eligible, that doesn’t mean they will declare. With that said, congratulations to the Dallas Cowboys for winning Super Bowl XLIII and to the Kansas City Chiefs for finishing with the worst record, as they continue to rebuild their football team. The Chiefs are now on the clock…"

Looks like a good passer to me. I'd love to get Tebow.

So you're of the opinion that Croyle is a great QB, he just needs the "tools" around him to succeed?

Why is it so difficult for you to understand that he needs the "tools" around him to have the OPPORTUNITY to succeed. No one is placing him in Canton.

What I don't understand is how Brodie Croyle was beaten out by Damon Huard with those same "tools" and how Huard was able to win 4 games (and many in this forum think he should have won 6 - Houston & Chicago) while Croyle won zero.

Are we to assume that Damon Huard would still outperform Croyle since the "tools" have been upgraded?

I can tell you exactly how Huard won 4 games and Croyle won zero: Larry Johnson. Huard lost all 4 of his starts without LJ and Croyle never had a start with him in the backfield.

So why didn't Croyle perform better in the pre-season? And why didn't he perform better or win any games when Kolby Smith was putting up 100+ yard games?

Pre-season doesn't mean shit and LJ only had 3 carries in his single game. No NFL team is going to be worried about or game plan around Kolby Smith.

I'm not saying Croyle is great - or even good. I'm just willing to reserve judgment until the 2008 season plays out.

I believe he has what it takes, but at the same time he should stay in college to polish his game more.

Yeah..he better polish up his patented run up the center's ass technique.

Or maybe polish up learning the UF system, because that'll help him the the league.

I don't expect us to be good at all, but if we end up picking #1 overall, you can say goodbye to Herm and Carl, and hello to a new front office.

He ran up the center's ass enough to throw for 3286 yards, 32 TDs, 67% competion % and only 6 int's with a 172.47 QB efficiency rating (2nd highest in the country) you ignoramus.
