Sauna night. I've gotten to where I really look forward to it. Saturday morning, I'm meeting with the personal trainer at 9am before going to my sauna appointment at 10am. Can't wait! After Monday evening, she'll have a program designed specifically for me that targets my goals.

I ranked the following in order of importance:

1. Fat Loss
2. Improved health
3. More endurance
4. More strength
5. More power
6. More muscle mass
7. Specific sports training
8. Gain weight

Sorry. I refuse to simply cut out a food group. What happens when I start eating them again? They are important to the body for a reason. I've just learned moderation and to try to eat any carbs early in the day. That way, I have the remainder of the day to burn them off. I'm not doing any special diet. I'm changing the way I eat, and learning more about what's good for my body. This way, it's a lifestyle change, and not just a diet (which would eventually end).

The personal trainer made a good point to me when I met with her the other night. It's not that Americans can't lose weight. Thousands do it all the time. The main problem is that Americans don't know how to properly maintain a lower weight. That's what I'm hoping to accomplish.

Carbs are not important to your body for any reason and you should probably not eat them ever again.
