His ass needs to earn it. He's good with managing ego's so they say?i dont know, but as far as in game managing, dude sucks. If Mattingly was the Cardinals coach and made some stupid ****ing moves Hamas would be cursing him up! lol

Ill just go into 2 plays that could be harmless but very very costly, one worked out, one failed miserable. First one was Uribe bunting in the bottom of the 8th inning with 1 guy on base. He called for a bunt x2. Uribe borked the bunts, then when they call it off, he hits a 2 run home run, basically won the series. Had Uribe not borked them bunts, possibly go to game 5 and anything can happen. Uribe bailed his ass out.

Play 2. Takes Hanley out in game 2 in like the 8th inning. So. Cardinals walk Gonzales 2 times with men on base to pitch to Michael ****ing Young. Both times he failed miserable. Had even a hurt Hanley been in the line up, they would not have walked gonzales and we dont know where the series would have wound up.

He's done this type of shit all year. There was a reason why they were calling for his damned head earlier in the year. Couldnt get his guys to play til a 22 year old Cuban who hadnt yet been in the USA for a year caused a spark and they ran with it. Shit had nothing to do with being a good manager.

If he wants that contract, he needs to show something in 2014, if he doesnt want too, cut his ass and promote within. I wouldnt mind see'ing Tim Wallach. Always liked the guy.

I know this is a very off the wall question and I'm not sure where to ask it but here seems appropriate. Does any here have a connection to the Cardinals organization or know who someone who does? I have someone very close to me starring death right in its face and one of her wishes is to get a tour of the Cardinals stadium and meet the players.

I wish I could help in this situation, but sadly I cannot. You may want to try posting this on the Cards Talk forum on stltoday.com, the St Louis Post Dispatch's website. They do offer stadium tours though throughout the whole year I believe. I went on one a couple years ago...went through some of the suites and media boxes and things like that, as well as going down on the field and in the dugout. No clubhouse or seeing any players or anything like that though. Best of luck to you, I hope someone else out there is able to help you.

We usually suck seeing a LHP for the first time. At least he's not a soft toss lefty. I think this time is going to be different. I see the Cardinals in 5 due to our starting pitching.

Don't know the guys ability in cold weather, but it is going to be cold.

ESPN2 has a nice story on cold weather affects on baseball. Goes both ways.

Was watching the pre-game stuff on MLB network. Cute blonde reporter doing a standup....."The bullpen could be key. A lot of flamethrowers in that Cardinals bullpen. I asked David Ortiz about that he said "we are good fastball hitters". I told Trevor Rosenthal about Ortiz comments and Trevor told me "I guess I can get scared now".

Love Rosey's attitude. These rookies are just not scared of the moment.

A healthy Craig adds so much balance to our lineup. Lets hope he's healthy and his timing is on.

Boston's lineup is filled with guys that can heat up for a few games and make our lives hell. Not since we've faced Texas have I felt like we're facing a lineup that leaves so little room to breathe.
