I was going to get Ryse but it's been getting bad reviews with the scores being between 4-7/10. I'll rent it down the road but they say it's just a two button timing masher that doesn't last long.

I haven't run into too many quick-scopers, but its still early in the game's life cycle. I'm sure more will show up as time passes.

I've only used one of the sniper rifles - the L115 - and its good. The in-game description says that "its deadly from the knees up", and it really is. Lots of one hit kills. I kind of like the marksmen rifles better though. They're more like the RSASS from MW3. A scoped, semi-auto rifle that's not going to kill in one shot, but is still good at range and has good rate of fire.

It seems like the assault rifles are most commonly used so far. Out of those, I like the Honey Badger (built-in suppressor) and the ARX-160 (built-in laser sight). There's a Remington AR that has better range if that's what you're looking for.

I haven't tried any SMGs or shotguns. From what I've seen of them though, the shottys don't seem as good as previous CODs. I used the 870 a ton in BLOPS2, but I've been hesitant to try them in ghosts. And there are a lot of maps that wouldn't be shotgun friendly.
