Ali vs. Foreman.

No way any legit sports writer would disagree.

It would be like putting a 37 year old Joe Montana vs. Ray Lewis.

And Ray sacks joe 8 times and in the 4th quarter Joe throws 3 TD's and wins...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Due to the fact EVERYONE was glued to the screen and the impact it had on sports AND world politics the Miracle would be no 1 for me.

Plus I was both alive and old enough to remember it...

Lot of great ones on a national level, but 3 stick out to me on a personal level.

1981 NCAA tournament, K-State beat I believe the #1 team Oregen State.

2003 Big 12 Championship, K-State beating the piss out of what was thought to be the unbeatable Sooners

Memorable, but sorta like a kick to the nuts, 1998 Big 12 championship game.

I remember that game. The pass that popped off a helmet to Clayton was hilarious.

Keep hating the guy who's actually been a part of a SB team. Or Keep loving that guy clinging off his dad's jock while pissing off every single talent he's had.

Chiefs scored 24 last week.

Steelers managed 19 with all an all pro QB and WR.

Why?

Just. Just stop and think...

The line between winning and losing in the NFL is quite small.

I think in todays NFL you couldn't really call any sort of win one of the most memorable upsets in sports history. The teams are relatively evenly matched each year from the top of the league to the bottom compared to other levels or sports.

Even the Giants Patriots game...sure it was an upset but...I don't know thats just the NFL the Giants are good.

I'd consider the 1st Giants vs Pats win the greatest NFL upset ever.

I don't know how you couldn't.

Yea, I would agree with that. My thoughts are more so than an NFL upset can't really compare to a big upset in NCAA football or basketball or some international type sports. I know very little of the fighting sports they don't rate with me.

Boxing (currently) is dead. In my whole life the last 4 years are the the only time I couldn't identify 4 belt holders.

MMA can't have upsets because it IS upsets. The average MMA fighter has a shorter career than the average NFL HB.

Since Alexi Lalas went white collar and shaved I've been on strike. Fight the power you angry attacking ginger, FIGHT THE POWER!

So the question becomes: what is the new dominant sport of the international community?

I want to know because I want to dominate it....

Boxing has felt like a sham as long as I have been alive. MMA UFC stuff is interesting. If it is on TV and there is nothing else I am interested in I will watch it. Those guys are warriors but the product inst always what it could be. Not the only sport with that problem obviously.

I would say the new dominant sport of the international community is the old sport dominant sport of the international community.

Though it seems like basketball is gaining in popularity internationally.
