I'd give a 25% chance one of those two guys turn out to be at least replacement level players in the NFL.

You've got 2 guys and you need basic competency out of one of them?

I'd say the chances are higher than 25%.

As in at least one would be a starter on most nfl rosters

Yeah, I think that chance is closer to 50% than 25%. Maybe in the 40% range or so.

Remember, you've got 2 guys and need one starter.

Sanders Commings could recover by the mid/end point of this year and contribute. It's not just healing, you need to get back into game shape and the speed of the game after a redshirt NFL season.

Kelce may never play again and if he does miss considerable time...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Sanders looked okay that one play he made on tape last year. Kelce dropped pass after pass then got hurt.

My money would be on Sanders-at least he can tackle. Not sure what the chiefs see in Kelce and Falsano as well.

Kelce will either be capable or won't. I guy I work out with had micro fracture said after 6 months he was fine. Said the mental side is another story.

Studies have shown that microfracture techniques do not fill in the chondral defect fully, forming fibrocartilage rather than hyaline cartilage. Fibrocartilage is not as mechanically sound as hyaline cartilage; it is much denser and unable to withstand the demands of everyday activities as well as the original cartilage and is thus at higher risk of breaking down.[16] The blood clot is very delicate after surgery and needs to be protected. In terms of time, the clot takes about 8 weeks to 15 weeks convert to fibrous tissue and is usually fibrocartilage by about four months post surgery, holding implications for the rehabilitation.

There's a long list of success/failure in the entry. Most are Basketball players.

For an average joe like you or me it'd probably end up just fine. For a pro athlete I don't like odds of it holding up...

Probably, yes.

So I don't think that's someone we should depend on.

If he works out, great, all the better. But we better approach the position like he's not even on the team...
