Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Yep, yep, and yep.

Pass on both. Cam Cameron is extremely unimaginative. Yes, he utilizes a vertical attack offense, but Ravens fans here have been calling for his head for the past two years because he is so predictable.

He was trying to make Flacco happy.

I'm not advocating for Cameron.

I'm using him as the measuring stick for how much I dislike the idea of hiring Norv Turner.

fair enough

Alright caught up now. Let's return that focus back to Chocolate Painii.

It will be a must to show Bowe the money and let the Chocorape Trio do their work on this shitty division for years to come.

He's not a better prospect than Luck ath the same stage. However, he's not as far removed in terms of what he brings to the table. He's as good a prospect not named Andrew Luck that I've seen in recent memory. That includes Stafford, Ryan, Bradford and any other quarterback that has gone first overall since Peyton Manning.

Which means, he IS a better prospect than Griffin at the same stage.

I've already said why numerous times, so I'm not doing it again. And I've yet to see where anyone can refute it. If you want to make a case for Griffin over Smith at the same stages of their careers, go right ahead and then I'll address it then, but you are going to have to make that case.

Thoughts on how Geno and Wilson stack up against each other? I still think when the dust settles these guys are 1A and 1B, but I'm not sure on who is A just yet.

The problem is, most people really don't watch college football to watch players play college football. And I'm sure that WVU doesn't have a shit ton of fans in the KC area as this was their first year in the Big 12 and are effectively a split of an East Coast team and an Appalachian Team and most of these guys have never seen Geno play.

Geno is the shit.

His potential is scary, his demeanor is fantastic and he put together a historically good season this year - as good/better than Griffin's Heisman season and Luck's near Heisman season last year - and no one is talking about him as an elite prospect and had a freshman and a linebacker as the top two Heisman canidates. (Case in point, this recent mock by Schrager of Fox is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. He says Geno isn't top five material, but then mocks a DII OT in the top ten and has Geno going to the Chargers at six. I mean, how do people this ****ing stupid with no idea about football get jobs in football/sports related areas? http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/M...-Werner-121812)

Even if Geno goes first overall to the Chiefs, this kid is going to have a chip on his shoulder. I like that.
