Wildfires in LA and So Cal

Looks like it's happening inside the city. Hoping it burns itself out before it hits the freeway.

Looks like the Getty is covered in smoke. Hope it remains safe. One of my favorite museums.

Let people know you are safe and well:

The humidity here actually feels normal to me now. Any time I leave Florida my skin gets hella dry. These mosquitoes though? They got to go. I agree there.

they own them. But, those Rembrandts, Picasso's etc. belong to all of us.

They have some of the best art ever created by humans in that building. And it's dirt cheap to visit the museum. Which is what Getty envisioned.

I have no doubt. But it doesnít mean they donít have underground fireproof safe rooms. This is something they can see headed toward them. Letís hope.

Just drove through an hour ago and the fire has not jumped the 405 freeway to the Getty side and both directions are open. As of now there appears to be no risk. The art center itself is atop a hill they keep very clear of brush at all times. Firefighters would be able to set a containment line well. I took a tour of it before the art moved in and the fire prep is really impressive with air containment for the buildings and an onsite water tank.

I am a few miles below the creek fire, no burn danger, but I got some apologies from neighbors last night after they had given me tons of shit for cutting down two trees a couple of months ago that were too close to my roof. If the top of my hill ever burned my house would have been an easy flare up because of those two trees. I still have a bunch of nice trees on the other side of the driveway and the neighbors are now feeling bad for being gigantic assholes when I basically saved our houses in advance!

Be safe!

I could see the Ventura fires from Lake Hollywood yesterday and when I loaded the kids for school this morning, the air was filled heavily with smoke, so much so that my hair stunk all day.

I was up in Burbank today and while heading down Barham, I could see heavy smoke above the mountains. It was pretty hazy up there, too.

im sure they are prepared. Lots of comments on social media about the arts safety.

I think it's kind of like cars. People were upset when the corvette museum collapsed and those one of a kind cars were lost. Most were never going to vette museum but they just didn't like the idea of one of a kind cars being destroyed.

You think it's stupid shit and other's laughed so I don't give a **** about you or your stupid Hollywood street cred.

I've had a great life and continue to do so. I also don't have to hide from fires or pillowbiters right now like you do........

I've had plenty of hot girlfriends that were not the paying kind but you keep believing that. I was a young stud and been "wounding vaginas since 1978", long before your first little pubic hair.....
