Thanksgiving - when do you do it?

Important issue--

Since I was a kid, my family has always had a Thanksgiving DINNER, as it should be. But most people I know think we're freaks. And also that we aren't doing Thanksgiving correctly--that it should be at lunch, which I think is crazy and should be banned.

When do you eat your "Thanksgiving meal?"

Uh, my local grocery store is running specials on week on all things Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure all stores do this.

Bob Dole eats when Bob Dole is hungry.

That's when it happens, by gawd, and not a minute earlier or later.

M-F regular work week - Breakfast, Lunch, Supper.
Dinner for any special meal in afternoon or later [Sunday Dinner, Correspondent's Dinner, Thanksgiving Dinner, etc.].
Exceptions made for cultures where midday meal is clearly the main meal, ie farming communities.
Anyone had dinner at grade/junior high school, outside an awards dinner after regular school hours?

I just stood in line for 30 minutes to pick up my turkey. Had to park a block and a half away. So we'll have it whenever my afternoon inebriated ass puts it on the table.

Are you sure that wasn't peacock or ostrich you were buying for $3 to $4 per pound?

I am sure they are marked up because of a seasonal item then we get a "discount" after their seasonal increase.

Off topic, but I was driving around the other day and saw a gift shop with a sign that said, "Native American Goods - 1/2 Off". The sign was a permanent neon sign. What a bunch of liars.
