Is that fan reaction from this years draft? If so that explains a lot.

It does seem a lot of the fan base is delusional right now. I upset a guy last week saying I thought the Chiefs would be about 8-8. Hes expecting at least 10-6 with a wild card. He thinks the division wont be decided till the final week with the Chiefs and Broncos neck and neck.

I thought I was being very generous with 8-8.

If that was a respectable list of pieces around Albert, his perception would be that of a top 5 OT IMO.
And after this season, he WILL be. And he will demand his bank, and oh yes; the Dorseid will write that check faster than you can say, "Missellus The Tool".

I have been, since Albert was drafted, a HUGE supporter of him being our LT of the present and future. Given the latest developments, I have no problems with him moving to make room for our new LT. I personally think it is just plain stupid to draft a guy who is a LT, and move him to RT for one year.

As much as I like Albert, after his tweets, move his ass to G or RT for one year and let the rookie LT get used to his spot at left tackle....

Fisher needs to be playing LT.

I dont understand how people believe that if youre awesome at LT, then you should be equally awesome at RT.

Everything is reversed.

Just because you can write with your right hand, doesnt mean you'll instantly be able to write with your left. There are some people gifted with ambidexterity, but not everyone can just pick it up.

This isnt a Madden videogame.

If Albert wants out, move him. Why waste a year of Fisher's career making him play RT, only to move him back to LT when Albert leaves?

Goddamn Chiefs have always got to be effing with a guy's position. If you need a RT, draft a RT. Need a Corner? Draft a corner. Dont go converting a safety.

This cant be that hard.

Totally this...

Thats what I was trying to say. Why waste a year 'developing' the new LT at RT? Move Albert, and let the 1.1 start as a LT....

You know what's not that hard? Switching from LT to RT isn't that hard, that's what.

Many, if not most, NFL RTs played LT in college. Eric Fisher played both RT and LT in college. He even played some games at guard.

If Albert is only a one year player, I tend to agree. Have Fisher start his career at LT and move Albert. But if they manage to sign Albert to a long term deal, I'm fine with letting him stay at LT and making Fisher the RT.

Dude, Geno finally showed his true character that everyone was wondering about since there was very little out about him prior to the draft in reference to his maturity and leadership or lack thereof other than the scathing Nawrocki(sp?)article which no one knew whether to believe it or not. Well????

Bottom line: I'm glad we didn't draft Geno(Ryan Leaf in the waiting)Smith. After that shit he pulled at the draft, seriously ????

Grab your because we will re-visit Ryan Leaf in ghetto mode very soon IMO.

Matter of fact I have more confidence that Tyler Bray has a better chance progressing as a dev QB than Geno after what I witnessed from Geno at the draft.

I think it'll work. Start Albert and Fisher. If Albert goes down, switch Fisher to left, bring in a backup at RT. If Fisher gets hurt, backup at RT. In the end, we need to keep building the best o-line in football, just like we had when it was during Vermeil's tear.

Yeah, except a bunch of LTs/RTs have switched positions early I'm their career and had no problem. One year at RT will not hinder Fisher's development at all. It may even help him as he isn't going to be thrown in the fire right away.
