My favorite band. Which considering how long they have been around, is probably considered classic rock!

One of my favorite bands too. Not quite classic rock... still being played on active rock/modern rock stations as "gold"... but they aren't too far from it. Classic rock is deep into the 80's now.

I sang "Alive" on stage in a bar in Canton MO years back, guest vocalist with a local band who are friends. It was a rush.

That takes me back to being a teenager in the 80s, one of the few bright spots in an era of truly horrendous music.

I know I should be but I'm not ashamed of loving most 80's music. I'm not saying a lot of it was "good" but it was the music of my formative years so it means a lot to me anyway. It's my weakness. Oh well.

Not to get too personal (I'm not that drunk yet lol) but that song has always been about my dad to me because like in the song I've never know him either but I'm fine with it and still "alive." They asked if there was a song I'd like to do and that one popped into my head immediately. Plus you can sing Eddie Vedder if you're drunk and don't have to worry too much about being off key lol.
