What are your Canada Day plans?

There's apparently going to be a "Canada Appreciation Day" event in downtown Denver today, in anticipation of Canada Day tomorrow.

I feel pretty good about this since I happened to have a Gordon Lightfoot song playing when I walked by. What do you plan to do to show our friendly appreciation to our neighbors in the north?

And...... we're supposed be sad? Mad? Make sure you remind me, I'll probably forget.
Just don't go outside of North America and tell anyone you're American. You may not want to know what the rest of the world thinks.

That's when you had the British Army backing you up . . .

Back when the British actually had an army . . . and a navy

last year Canada Day fell on the Rush concert at Sandstone. I was there, it was great. There were people running Canadian flags up and down the aisles, then Rush proceeded to bring down the house with their usual fantastic (always a little differnet) lineup:

Tom Sawyer
Spirit Of Radio
Free Will
Subdivision
Marathon
La Villa Strangiato
2112
Working Man

Just to name a few

I don't why people bag on this country so much. They're our fellow human beings after all, as are people of all countries in the world.

I'm proud of being an American of course, but why can't we all just get along?

(I'm talking to the people that actually hate Canada, not the ones poking jokes for fun).

That's fine I'd rather be known and hated than being indistinguishable from northern Minnesota.
