Parking Vent

I just got a parking ticket for, get this, a street cleaning violation. Apparently from 8-noon on Thursdays during the month of May you can't park on the streets outlying downtown. I had no idea this was the case because, A) there wasn't a sign saying it anywhere B) there were about 25 other cars parked on this street so I assumed it would be okay like it is every other day I've done it for the past 9 months. !%$&#@&$ shit pisses me off. Maybe we could make the rule a little more arbitrary, like on every even day when the moon aligns with Neptune, you can only park in the polka dot zone.

Bah!

I got a ticket last year because I parked under a bust stop sign. It didn't say "No Parking" on it, and actually there was a "No Parking" five or six feet away with an arrow pointing the opposite way toward the corner. I was so mad I emailed half of the KC government offices. The mayor, city manager, basically every email address I could find.
They ended up emailing me back (a guy from the mayor's office) and throwing it out.
So I sent a letter to the Star saying the guy helped me out and they put it on the website.
You could try doing something like that.

My parking vent relates to the Amish who park their horses in my community and leave piles of green "apples" in half of the parking lots in town.

That sucks dude. The town I live in created a snow ordinance this past winter. You are now allowed to park on the any street at any time if it snows or face having your vehicle towed and a 150 dollar fine. The problem is in the winter it snows once a week minimum with different amounts of severity and the ordinance is never anounced when it goes into effect and at what time so every body is left guessing.

Many people without driveways were told ( after thier cars were towed ) that they should have parked in thier yard. Cities ,nowadays especially, will do anything to make and save money.

We did that and when we parked the vehicle in the yard they hit us with one of those tickets for disabled vehicles in yard

When I lived in DC you had to pay a yearly fee to park on the street. They give you a sticker and if you don't have it they give you a ticket.

So, they are going to right tickets to the unemployed/jobhunters?

Suspect: Sorry your Honor, I don't have a job to pay for this BS ticket.

Judge: Pay it or 30 days in jail.

Suspect: Woo hoo! Free rent for a month!
