True Lima-time story:

When I was in Texas the summer of 2003, I was going through a rough time in my life, and found my escape watching the 2003 Royals, especially pre-All Star break. Anyways, Lima was playing around during BP and I called him over for an autograph and told him that his story had inspired me and I was rooting for him...he was so grateful, he jumped the fence and sat in the first row of the lower deck at Rangers Stadium, signing autographs and chatting with me for a few minutes. Security didn't like it, but it was pretty awesome.

FG reports that Jared Weaver was throwing at around ~83 on opening day. His velocity is shot. You can't really smoke & mirror your way around the AL. Chen was able to at times but mostly he got peppered. We should be able to put a lot of balls into play tonight.

Aw yeah. Just wish we didn't have the Diamondbacks. Then I might possibly see these games on cable.
