Peters and Marshawn are 2 of 3 names listed for this foundation. Seems like he's plenty active in the community. People may not agree with his politics, but gotta appreciate that he seems to be very active in the community.

I'm all for that stuff but seems he could do more to promote that cause by getting out there and mentioning it during interviews etc...than just sitting.

That Flag is the reason he has the chance to contribute to that cause. Whats lost in all of this is the Flag has NOTHING to do with their complaints and protesting it only distracts from their actual cause.

I would like a person of color here on CP tell me what country they would rather live in as a person of color, today, right now.

Liberty and justice for all. Some think that doesn't ring true, regardless of the "fight" for it. It's that simple.

I wasn't attacking you when I quoted you btw, just saying that those who are complaining have had less impact on society than this young man. His tax dollars and non profit trying to help out the less fortunate. Inbred dipshits and their opinions do little to help the greater good. Actions are so much louder than words.

To Sum it up, replace national anthem protest with sit ins or bus rides, and you could find Babble lee's post in an opinion section of the newspaper in the 1960s.
For those who failed to earn Douche of the Year honors, sit ins and bus rides had aims and means that matched their aims

Therefore, why are these morons still sitting?

I will never forget the images of the rally in San Jose, CA as both American and Mexican protesters waved Mexican flags and could be seen burning U.S. flags.

North Korea is not the only country set on pursuing nuclear weapons ambitions. Iran and lawless countries run by sophisticated terrorist organizations set on pursuing a nuclear arsenal at any cost.

How would you suggest we maintain a military to guarantee your right to be an a hole? You suggest a draft or something? Or maybe you would take the Obama approach and run around the globe bowing and apologizing to anybody you can find in hopes of finding someone to surrender to?

You aren't just born guaranteed the right to be an a hole, the military gives you that right. 100% true story

Just like during the 60's and civil rights era, anti civil rights groups used to say sit ins and bus rides did nothing to promote equality and that their actions did not match their aim.

They would use all kinds of circular logic and and excuses and say things like "decorum" or "respect". "No no, don't protest like that. That makes me uncomfortable."

How little history changes.
