Paul Ryan is a superstar

He's giving a good presentation on GOP efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare right now. It's amazing that there are members of the House (notably members of the freedom caucus) who don't understand the Senate concept of reconciliation. The freedom caucus, Rand "grandstand" Paul, and the most moderate senators had better not screw this up. Donald Trump needs to be prepared to hold their feet to the fire.

Rep. Roger Marshall, (R-Kan.), a member of the GOP Doctors Caucus, said comments he made to STAT were not meant to suggest that poor people take health care for granted. The comments were published in a story last week about his burgeoning role in the fight to replace the Affordable Care Act.

“Just like Jesus said, ‘The poor will always be with us,’ ” Marshall said in response to a question about Medicaid, which expanded under Obamacare to more than 30 states. “There is a group of people that just don’t want health care and aren’t going to take care of themselves.”

He added that “morally, spiritually, socially,” the poor, including the homeless, “just don’t want health care.”

Could you help me out and bold or italicize the part that is incorrect? I'm missing it. If it is just an emotional response you are looking for, I will give it my best try....

Yeah, 26% that represented 307 electoral votes of America and IF this Obama lite is not cleaned up drastically that 26% will continue to grow in Congress. The Swamp doesn't want to be drained and is purposely being clogged up by the you know who types!!

That 26% is very deceiving so much so that 26% was the so called tail that wagged the dog of America this last election flexing it's political muscle surprising all the arrogant pretentious fools in DC and the media.

Don't be fooled by that 26% that only grows over time with continued foolishness

Pat calling someone delusional about GOP over healthcare, when he's delusional about more conflict and wars hurting the GOP.
Projection as always.

Every single thing that guy said is wrong.

He is completely misquoting the bible to defend a policy that is the exact opposite of Jesus preached.

Lying patty is lying again.

ACA was developed in a bi-partisan committee made up of three Democrats and three Republicans who met 31 times for a period of over 60 hours to develop what would ultimately become the Affordable Care Act.

In July, 2009 The Senate’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee passed The Affordable Health Choices Act. This bill contained more than 160 amendments all added by the Republican members of the committee and all were approved.

Between July and December 2009 the bill was referred to several committees and a great deal of negotiation and compromise between the two parties continued during these meetings.

I re-read that this morning. Going over it word for word. I did read into it something that was not there. The poor didn't want to PAY for health care. So, I agree, he is incorrect. If health care was free, I believe everybody would want it.
(BTW, his Jesus quote was not word for word, but close enough to get a point across)

But reading what he said got me to thinking. Right here in my small town, we have many "poor" folks. On any and every government handout they can get. Yet most all of them have a cell phone, a dish hanging on the side of their house, pack of smokes in their pocket, and so-on. Seems to me if they have some basic need (such as health insurance) that is not being met, isn't there a little fat that can be trimmed out of their budget before they reach into my (taxpayers) pocket?

This bill, if passed, will kill Trump's near lock for re-election in 2020. He needed to repeal Obamacare and would be better off going to pre-obamcare than pass a bad bill that will give democrats a pulse again for upcoming elections.

Haven't you been listening to what he's been promising? This should come as no surprise to you.
