I would be interested to know if Clark Hunt, Veatch, or Reid has had a conversation about this in private or with the players and what is expected in a conservative midwest city such as KC. What has Goodell said in private to owners. Did they come to an agreement that Peters would be on a bike vs. on a knee as a compromise....

This is not LA or San Fran. or Seattle.

I do feel that if I went into a work environment where there was management, customers, and fellow employees and started a racially based form of protest that I would be ushered out the door by security with my paper box within the hour.

Why can't this be addressed the same way... If you dropped to a knee or raised your fist as a racial protest on your job do you think you would have an unscheduled meeting with the head of HR within hours maybe minutes... Dammed straight you would!!!

I feel that the NFL owners are afraid to put their foot down on this because Goodell has probably said behind closed doors that it will cause a civil rights investigation and\or lawsuit. Probably quietly said that the league could not survive the fall out from sponsors, media, and fans. They are afraid of the loss of revenue, assets (team value) and nothing more. If they didn't have a few skeletons in the closet it may be different. but i don't think that is the case.
The worst part for the NFL is that they would have to open it's private records up to the Feds and all the dirt will come running out like overturning a rock in the forest. Yes, that's right, a snake might bite them!

Nobody cares. He's a great corner and he's getting ready to play. Get over it.

The only reason this is an issue is because the networks desperately want to make it one.

ChiefsPlanet has some very generous guidelines, 200 pixels tall by 650 pixels wide is more than enough screen real estate for you to express your individuality. That dimension includes your graphics AND any witty text you want to share. If you go over this amount, you may lose your ability to have a signature.

As an honorable discharged veteran. I am a little offended that the Chiefs always feature some soldier or sailor or airman that is doing a good job and seems to have a nice family.

The Chiefs should occasionally pay tribute to some poor bloke convicted by court martial or shit-canned in boot camp.
