Do you hate Mike Thompson (weathermen)? - Page 5

I am trying to watch American Idol tonight, and that camera attention grabbing Mike Thompson keeps interupting every 2 minutes to tell me about a storm on the missouri and Iowa border! Seriously, he must have cut in 5 times somtimes talking for like 15 minutes at a time just babbaling about this stupid storm. He even had the balls to cut in at the end so he could screw up the end of the show. I was so pissed. I was so glad the Bachelor was on channel 12 cause Busby is nice enough to flash in accross the bottom instead of cutting in to the show.

Unless it is an emergency, it should be against the law to cut into a show. I just feel they could wait to tell us about a bad widdle thunder storm during their own segment during the news.
I also hate it when they have that storm county tracker on the side of the tv. No sane person could possably know what the hell this thing even is trying to represent, yet it is this annoying blob blocking everything on the right of my TV.

They shouldn't interupt ANY show to tell us about a F@%#*%^$ storm that is near your stupid family farm. Yeah Iowanian wanted to start with the diggs, and I can dish it right back.
I do enjoy my TV viewing a little more than the next guy, but that doesn't mean it is ok to interupt a show because what I am watching you think is stupid. It is still the #1 rated show. If it happened during a Chiefs game this whole board would be furious and unaware that Iowanian has a family farm near the Iowa border that we should all not be selfish as to not care what is happining down at his family's farm.

The same point of the storm was given by Brian Busby at the bottom of the screen. It also does not matter what was being watched at the time. American Idol, or a football game, when I watch a show I want to watch it not the weatherman. He already gets his time during the news.

I could care less what anyone thinks of the show or where it is rated ...

my point is that IT'S JUST A FREAKING TV SHOW.

I'd much rather have them cut into anything (including a Chiefs game) to notify anyone in the viewing area that a tornado is on the way, rather than finding out what happened on some show that won't matter the next day.

You see, tornados are real ... TV shows aren't.
