Meh, I've had a launch day console with no issues and my second console got RROD. Sent it in, got it back...no problems since.

Sounds like you (and others) had horrible luck with them.

You do realize you won't need ps+ to play f2p games on ps4 right?

Of course they've got plans to make even more f2p games that will not need the membership as well in the foreseeable future.

Add on to that the capability of using many of the ps4's entertainment apps as well as party chat and free streaming; ps+ will not be as much of a requirement as it is on xbox live.

I understand. Like I said, whether it is a requirement to have a PS+ or a Gold level account or not it doesn't mean I'll buy one console over another because I'll have a PS+ or Gold level acct regardless.

I've had an Xbox since they day they came out. Only had 1 of them RROD and it was replaced under warranty.

I didn't buy PSN+ for playing online. I bought it for all the games and perks it offers. I actually feel like I am getting a return on my money with it. With Live I don't feel like I am getting any return on investment at all.

I've lost two xbox consoles. one was covered under warranty and one was not. the power supply for my slim is dying now.

this, Live and that convoluted dashboard are the biggest reasons I don't care for xbox anymore.

I've used the shit out of our PS3 and it is still going strong.
