Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

If I were building a COLLEGE team and I had the first pick, yeah, I'd think hard about taking Teo. MLB's can still dominate the COLLEGE game, as you can win in multiple ways. You can play Marty ball, like ND and Bama, you can run and shoot like Oregon, you can spread and shoot like the Big 12.

However, in the NFL, it's getting to a point where the ways to win, SB"s, are becoming fewer and fewer and bottlenecking to one stance.

You have to be able to throw the ball and score points, all the while being able to rush the passer.
i will try to go easy on you **** nut. I agree we need a QB. Problem is there is not one worth taking with the first pick. Go tell Ray Lewis that linebackers make no difference in the pro game. Tell that to Brian Cushing and Clay Matthews. I would rather play like Alabama and Notre Dame than like Oregon or West Virginia. At least Alabama and Notre Dame are in the Championship. IF there were a QB that was dominant, i would be all for it. Geno Smith is good enough to take a college team to seven wins, does that equate to 3 or 4 in the pros? This kid runs a spread offense in college just like that coveted kid from missouri a couple of years ago. How did that turn out? I would much rather take a sure thing with the top pick in the draft and possibly trade up with my second pick and get a QB there. A good QB will be available, maybe not one with the hype of geno, but there will be a decent one available. Just because i do not agree with you on Geno Smith, it doesn't mean that i am wrong.

I generally understand where you're coming from, but what I've bolded makes no sense to me in terms of player analysis.

Mr. Domer what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Wins in college mean ****ing nothing.

Manti Te'o going undefeated is just as worthless as Ken Dorsey going undefeated. It doesn't mean anything. Greg McElroy should be able to beat out Mark Sanchez for the Jets job, right? Why hasn't that happened yet?

Colon Klein had a lot more wins this year than Geno Smith. But he's not even one tenth the QB that Geno is.

Domer.

WHY is it that no qbs in this years draft are not worthy of a high pick?

Are you just listening to mcshay or kiper?

Are you serious here? Have you watched Geno play? He had the worst defense in college this year. You wanna sit on your ass and wait for a dominant QB to come along huh?

How often does that happen? Was Aaron Rodgers dominant in college? Big Ben? Matt Ryan? Brady? Rivers? Schaub?Eli? Romo? The kid from Missouri was barely 6 foot tall.

Funny that Cushing has been out for the year and the Texans are likely to STILL get a bye in the playoffs.

It's this type of thinking that has us where we are. In the NFL, you can't win playing ND or Alabama type football. Yeah, it got them to the BCS championship game. In college, you can play that way and be successful. Not in the NFL.

Hell, Teo isn't even a sure thing. You do not take MLB's early in the draft. Pass rushers, QB's and LT"s.

So we're all crazy for believing that Geno is an Elite prospect, but we're supposed get in line behind you when you basically compare T'eo to Ray Lewis??

Clay Matthews is a pass-rushing OLB, you ****ing idiot. Also, Houston's D seems to be playing without significant drop off since losing Cushing. Geno also ran a pro style offense his sophomore year. Furthermore, the majority of spread concepts (sticks, mesh, smash, shallow cross) are staples in nearly every team's shotgun.

Also, for you to compare Blaine Gabbert to Geno illustrates that you're a complete moron. JFC, have you even watched either of those two play? I truly hope you never procreate, because I fear for your progeny.

I guarandamntee Geno Smith stock will rise after the combine. Betime the draft he will be considered a top draft pick choice.
