Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Second trip to the range and i've officially given up using this red dot. We started to get zeroed in and it kept spreading back out. Also today I learned the importance of locktight on the rear or on sight, as it came loose and was shifting back and forth. Got it tightened back down so i'm ready for another range day this weekend.

I sent my mini to Cryopro, they are in Springfield, Mo. Their web page has a lot of good informaton on it and they are quick to turn, for me it was less than 1 week. It is good for the guns and engines, knives, golf club or any thing metal. I need to send my other 2 guns up there and have them done, $35 for a rifle and $25 for a pistol.

Can anyone recommend a good website to buy guns? I am looking for a Glock 42 and they are out of stock at every shop that I have called. One store suggested that I buy one online and have it shipped to them. Any suggestions?

There may be good reasons why the G42 is in low stock.

FYI you're in CA if I recall right? Hence the OC for orange county. That adds a potential extra degree of difficulty since the G42 will never be on the california roster and needs to be SSE'd unless you're LEO. Because it's not rostered you will have some online dealers that just refuse to ship it to CA.

You are correct. I have an FFL who will do the SSE but it is difficult to get out of state dealers to ship to them. I just found a dealer off a SSE thread on a gun website that performs SSE and he has one in stock for $555. If I buy one online for $450 and have it shipped it will cost me the same after the SSE fee.

I am going to drive the hour each way tomorrow and buy. And, then 2 weeks later drive back to pick it up.

I scheduled my CCW appointment with the OC Sheriff for October 2015. They currently only have 2 officers working on the program. They are planning on hiring 10 more so hopefully it gets bumped up to sometime this year.

The eagle has landed, all 4 showed up today. They had a strong smell of paint inside so I opened them up and I have them sitting outside airing out for a couple of days.
