he's waffled a bit on foles...but has been adamant about drafting a QB, namely Geno, all off season...

sunshine...dog's ass...etc...but he's much better than petro on this issue

Andy Reid: Kansas City Chiefs open to trading top pick

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Kansas City Chiefs hold the top selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, but that doesn't mean they'll use it.

New coach Andy Reid told reporters Thursday that the Chiefs are open to shopping their first pick for the right price.

"Listen, yeah, we're going to evaluate everything," Reid said at the NFL Scouting Combine. "We're just not going to give it away. So, we'd have to see what people throw our way. It's a pretty valuable pick, I'd say."

Not as valuable as it was a year ago, that's for sure. Especially for a quarterback-needy team like the Chiefs. There's no Andrew Luck prototype sitting atop the heap this time around, but plenty of draft doctors have linked the Chiefs to West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith. That doesn't mesh with the draft philosophy Reid espoused Thursday.

"Most of the questions have been asked about the quarterback position, but it's important that we go through and evaluate everybody," Reid said. "You don't go for need, you go for who the best player is -- or who you perceive the best player to be."

The Chiefs need a quarterback. They need a few of them. But you'd be hard-pressed to find an NFL scout or coach willing to label Geno Smith as best player available in this year's draft. Nobody tells the truth at the combine, but Reid doesn't sound like a guy about to roll the dice on a passer with the No. 1 pick.

Too risky to take the QB... We must build the NFL's most dominant O-line first, and maybe after we're done doing that, we could possibly take someone else's garbage. It's the safest way

Here you go. Since Chrome (and most derivatives) have scripting support built in, all you have to do is drag and drop one of these scripts to your Extensions page. I am using the last one (created by DaFace) but I have heard that it is broken. It's working fine for me.

when you go the page that displays the scripts right click to open to show containing folder then when you see the script right click that then select edit when you see the @ include: part delete the website given replace it with this http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/ *

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/140565

and here's Daface's userscript

I love the angle they are plying against Joeckel on 810.

Lets say Joeckel was a one year pro and played as well as he did at A&M for an NFL team.

Would anyone with a brain in their head trade Brandon Albert AND the first overall pick for him?

The answer is no, so why would anyone want to draft him, when we already have Albert?

KK can't go "back" to Joeckel because he was NEVER on that bandwagon.

He's been all over taking a QB for the better part of the last 3 years.

Great way to look at it...

Its just ****ing stupid to not re-sign one of the best LTs in football and draft another LT to replace him...While we just drafted 2 OTs in the 2nd & 3rd round last year...

So dumb.

What do you guys take of Reid saying "You don't go for need, you go for the best player"?
