Jay certainly didn't help things. He's the reason why we have so many near collisions on defense. He does a terrible job of taking charge of the outfield. Kozma is nearly as bad on the infield. Leads to way too many routine flies that drop.

It's too damned hard to scratch together 3-4 hits in an inning when managers have a hair trigger in the PS.

Against LHP, the last five guys in the lineup are essentially automatic outs, and when Carpenter is hitting like Tyler Greene and Holliday is first pitch hacking like Brendan Ryan, these are the results you're going to get.
