No, because his "friends and cronies" happen to be pretty damn qualified, all things considered. We could end up with a very solid coaching staff top-to-bottom as a result of this hiring, assuming it doesn't fall through.

That's the real bombshell about to drop: Clark's sole motive in all this is to salvage Cassel.

I don't care if he's part of the Philadelphia Eagle crime family. Brad Childress at QB coach + Geno makes me jizz harder than a fire hose.

No beacuse I think he's the brains of the operation and the people he gets works well with him.

Pioli is the exact opposite. It's not about who he works well with, it's who he can have control over.

Andy Reid's people have begun the process of canceling planned talks with #Chargers/#Cardinals. Getting close with #Chiefs, I'm told.

Thanks for finally joining the party Pioli!

Even if they keep Cassel they will be bringing in a few more QBs for a real competition, and we know he's not winning that. He can be a third stringer as he should have been all along.

Burnt out guy who hasn't done anything since 2009 rides into town with his other recently fired compadres? I got torched for suggesting that a few doxen pages ago.

Heckert - Fired
Shurmur - Fired
Chilly - Fired

I wouldn't count Castillo because it was a dumb move to try and switch him from O-Line to Defensive Coordinator, but still, Fired.

we are not getting this staff at the peak of their careers it would seem.

Cassel is set to make 7.5M. We are about to pick a #1 QB, who WILL start. If Reid is thinking about keeping Cassel as a backup at that price I'm calling AZ and asking them wtf their problem is.

NFL Network reporting the same thing. They interviewed Ian R. and he reinterated the original report that a deal will get done with the Chiefs.

The only real concern with Maclin is his health. The kid just can't seem to stay healthy. If I'm a lot of teams, I'd give up a 2nd for him but frankly we need that pick, especially being that high.

I'd give up the Chiefs 3rd in a heartbeat and then have a nice little Tigergasm.
If we get an extra third from the Carr deal, yeah, I'd sling it for Maclin.

Then, I'd re sign Bowe and not really worry about my WR's for now.
