Tips for the new guys...
#1 - Take kickers and defense by Round 4. You want to make sure you get the best. #2 - Nothing wrong with drafting with your heart, take guys from your beloved team even if it's at the expense of a top 5 stud from a team you hate. #3 - Disregard bye weeks #4 - RBs are over rated in most drafts, don't fall into the run early please note heavy sarcasm

Something I might suggest as well is a Survivor League from http://www.xpertsports.com/. If I understand it right, you do a draft and that is your team for the year. They just take your best players point wise so you don't have to worry who to start at each position. Its free as well.

Ahh, this might have been a good place for me to start with an FFL. Wish I'd have seen it before I signed up for the two FFL's I'm registered for already. Especially since my first FFL draft wasn't graded very favorably. Oh well, nothing like being throw to the wolves. I'm not worried, I'm a charter member of the school of hard knocks.
Kudos for helping out the parent with his first attempt. |

MHM, good stuff! Great advice!
Good luck jAZ, I did the same thing 2 years ago. We're getting ready for year 3, and I'm adding a big wrinkle to the league this year. Refer to http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=122387 By the way, the near flunkie noob is my father-in-law. I'm tryin hard to cut the cord b/n he and my wife, but she continues to babysit him, at least last year she did. This year I think she plans to cut him loose, sink or swim. |

If you struggle filling it up send me a PM sometime and I will play along, though I have been playing for a few years. If it is an autodraft I don't have to worry about missing the draft.

Oh, and BTW, you don't have to actually be a noob to participate... but you need to be willing to play with at least one noob (and maybe more).
