Iron Man 3

From some talk in other threads it looks like Iron Man 3 is getting some traction. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Since you are reading some comics, Download The Infinity Gauntlet series. It is one of the most entertaining Marvel storylines ever.
It will show you who Thanos is.
The best villian ever and the guy that the Marvel movie universe us building to.
The Infinity Gauntlet was actually in odens trophy room in the Thor movie too.
Joss Wheden is also a Marvel fanboy so I dont have to worry about the Thanos character getting ruined.
Thank God. My favorite villian ever

There is no way they can follow the story. It will have to be re-done. They simply do not have the characters to do it. It involves EVERYONE from the Marvel universe. In the comics the Avengers were a gnat on his ass.
Thanos brings out the big dogs. Its way too cosmic for the universe that the movies have to work with.

I'm not talking about plot. I don't want to know ANYTHING about Thanos. Right now all I know is that he looked like a big purple evil space hulk grinning at the camera at the end of the last movie.

I've gone into all of these movies with almost no knowledge of anything...and I think it really makes it awesome. Plus...no disappointment over stuff like Mandarin. Whee!

I'd recommend Planet Hulk/World War Hulk.

The Civil War crossover from a few years back was pretty good as well...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Not really a fan of the Hulk.

Just Iron Man.

The Avengers would be pretty stupid, to be honest, if Iron Man wasn't part of it.

Deal with it.

This^
I'm just going to have faith after Avengers 1 they do the best they can with it.
As you said so many characters and cosmic entities were involved its Impossible to do the original story.
Imagine the scope of it when you cant even do the Mandarin on screen I mean wtf just give him some plastic rings and shoot fire or something..my oldest boy could make an ipod video with that effect as hes eating his captain crunch.
Anyhow.. yeah at least even the fan boys know were not going to see the original story and can accept its not possible.

I have no desire to ever see IM3 again. It was disappointing.

I hope they make A2 with him in it though.

They have kept the general aspects of the characters in the first 2.

The 3rd movie they just said 'screw it' and did whatever.

Used the same names but changed the entire thing

leads me to think that it might be the last one

I never expected him to be exactly the same.
Actually expected him to be reworked, but not a complete joke/comic relief.
The story line that was insinuated in the trailers/early in the movie would have been just fine.

I have watched the first two 10 times or more.
My niece wanted me to take her to see IM3 so I did, and I refrained from giving my opinion of it as to not spoil it for her.
She really enjoyed it and I was over what they had done, but I found myself totally bored with it the 2nd time around.
I have no desire to own it the way I did with all the other marvel movies.
