Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

I honestly think that it's gonna be either Geno or Wilson. And it sure seems like it's going to be an EPIC battle.

Idk why Geno hasn't been invited to the Senior Bowl yet, but he surely will. I would love to see those 2 with an NFL coaching staff on a level playing field.

I would take Luke Kuechly over Manti Te'o 9/10 times. Kuechly was a tackling machine in college and was superb in coverage for more than 1 year.

They're the top 2 and it's not even close. I have no ****ing clue where Kiper's getting this Glennon shit from. Probably some $$$ were exchanged to talk him up, most likely.

You're most likely going to see the draft order going KC, Jax, Oakland. Both Wilson and Smith will be gone in those top 3. I'd bet a sizable chunk of money on that happening.

There's a couple of teams that supposedly prefer Glennon, although one of them is reportedly Pioli, who won't be employed...

no one gives a shit if 2/3s of a boy band want to draft an over rated lb with the #1 pick of the draft

start a thread called "Dipshits who want to spend the #1 pick on a LB" and quit shitting on our yard...

That's absolutely insane to me. What the **** does Glennon possess that Smith and Wilson don't have besides a slight height advantage?

Because here's what Smith and Wilson both have that Glennon does not:

-Superior stats
-Better decision-making skills
-Better downfield vision
-A more consistently accurate deep ball
-A more consistently accurate intermediate out route
-MUCH better escapability and pocket presence

This is just jaw-dropping to me that any professional scout could possibly like Glennon better than Smith or Wilson.

The Glennon hype kind of reminds me of the pre draft hype of Joe Flacco. Physically impressive players with nice but not overwhelmingly great stats in college. IMO Flacco is probably Glennon's ceiling as a pro. Good but not elite

It's Glennon's size, arm strength, productive numbers with the worst surrounding talent/coaching of any of the QB's and his football IQ which is apparently off the charts.

Bad scouts for bad teams. And potentially smokescreens.

How many of you would be apposed to utilizing the pistol with Geno. He is athletic, not RG3 level but don't need to be with his passing with Jamaal Charles

A bit here and there. That's the thing. Never go full pistol.

Tim Tebow went full pistol. Now look at him.

Never go full pistol.

We should probably run a run-heavy style offense with vertical play-action elements and evolve the offense over the course of Geno's development to become more and more vertical development used to set up the run. Maybe then we start incorporating some west coast elements and go full Saunders Coryell. Really, I think Saunder's version of Coryell would suit Geno and our package of offensive talent nicely. That's right, let's bring back Al Saunders as OC.
