Chiefs Alternate History Madden Franchise: Can Joe Montana take KC back to the SB?
Return of Mals: Joe Montana Edition

Downloaded a 1993 NFL Roster updated for Madden 17 last night.



All teams and players are edited to reflect their 1993 counterparts. Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Warren Moon and JOE MONTANA are all on this roster along with every other starter AND backup from 1993. This roster is so accurate it has Andre Ware on the Lions. Titans serve as the Oilers, Texans and Jags are full of generic assholes.

Chiefs have Joe, Marcus, DT, Smith, Carter, etc. Whoever did this is a genious and even got the player equipment right. Faces are computer-generated and coaches are wrong, but can't have everything.





The goal: get the Chiefs back in the SB with Montana at starting QB. Franchise will run until Joe retires. Not allowed to switch QBs.

I'm catching a break. Thomas is hurt and so is their starting RT, Howard Ballard, and starting LE Phil Hansen.

Just have to stop Kelly and prevent Bruce Smith from ass-raping Montana.

If I get past the Bills I go to Houston, but Warren Moon will be healthy, however. No Cody Carlson this time.

Incorrect. The TD to Hayes was not play action, for instance. Nor were two of the three TD passes against the Oilers.

But you are more likely to see them as a highlight, because those are where my big plays come from, mostly.

The '94 Chiefs are going to be good, though. I need a couple OL, another WR, a CB and a S and the division will be mine.

I'll be doing a full season stats update after the playoffs, but this was a highly realistic simulation.

Real 1993 Chiefs: 302 yards per game, 20.5 PPG, 20 pass TD, 14 rush TD

Virtual 1993 Chiefs: 309 yards per game, 20.2 PPG, 22 pass TD, 11 rush TD

Oilers are without OLBs Lamar Lathon and Wilber Marshall, and WR Ernest Givins.

Allen is fine, but Tracy Rogers and Tracy Simien are still out for KC.

Gonna be a tuff game because they had me on the ropes last time.

I just wish it was actually IN Houston, because I started the moving process for Tennessee this year. Maybe next year.
