I want to go back 26 years, so the Big 12 has two. (Neat trick I just played on you there wasn't it?)

what argument are you attempting to make here? They are members of the SEC.

Pretty amazing KU has as many titles the past 26 years as Ucla, Arizona, Indiana, Georgetown, Wisconsin, Texas, and many other top programs combined.

If you'd have told me in 1987 after Indiana won it's third in 11 years, that Kansas would have 7 FF and 2 titles the next 26 years while Indiana would have 2 FF and 0 I wouldn't have believed that.

Or that KU would have a many FF & NC as UCLA, Indiana, and Georgetown. Combined. Wow.

Well, obviously, the scales got tipped when Missouri added their National Title haul to the SEC and away from the B12.

The conf measures are worthless anyway. Duke & UNC have 7 of the 8 ACC (Saul forgot about Maryland 2002), Kentucky & Fla have 5 of the SEC 6, Kansas has both Big 12 titles - oops past 26 years!

99% of bcs conference hoops programs are imperceptible from mid majors.

There's no point in defending KU when it comes to basketball nationally. With the Big 12 I think some of the haters have a point but I'm not sure that should be any of KU's concern. When you compete nationally, ala Alabama, there isn't any reason to look down to those below you. It's simply easier to keep accelerating to levels never seen in collegiate sports before.

I read somewhere that in the last six years KU has more wins in a six year period than any school in the history of NCAA competition. If Kentucky wants to pound their chest then by all means... go for it.

Robert Morris is ready for you bitch.

On Sagarin's all-time ranking a few years back he had Kentucky 1, Kansas 3. He had 4 Big 8 schools (OSU, OU, KSU, Missouri) before his next SEC school. The idea that the SEC is a respectable basketball league historically is a complete lie and easily disproven:

Five SEC schools in the top 50, (six if you count Mizzou). Eight SEC schools (over half the league) in the top 64. The idea that the SEC is a respectable basketball league historically is well proven by Sagarin. Thanks for posting!
