Football Weekend in Nashville

Chiefs play Titans on October 6 and Mizzou plays Vanderbilt on October 5. For you Tiger and Chiefs fans, talk about a nice roadtrip weekend.

My nephew who is stationed at Ft. Campbell called yesterday and wants me and his dad to come up for the game. He told that me the owner of the Titans provides a bunch of tickets to each home game to his SF group. If there is a tailgate meeting spot let me know.

Just scored 4 tickets section 110 behind the Chiefs bench. Staying at Red Roof Inn 3 miles from Lp field. Now just gotta plan this tailgate. Anybody know what tailgating is like there? Is it worth it or should we just go to a bar.

We're taking a cab to the game,so it's either a bar or walking in with a case or so of beer.Hopefully a local CP'er attending the game will step up and organize something.

I'm gonna start looking for a parking pass. It would be nice if a local could give me a run down on the tailgate setup there. Do they have any good cash lots in the thick of it or parking pass best option?

Tailgating would grade about a C+ at best compared to Arrowheads A+. The bars and such downtown across the river can be good though. Alot of the tailgating goes on in the expensive lots close to the stadium mostly bought by season ticket holders. The Titans Message Board members hold a nice tailgate and are welcoming to visitors, especially Chiefs fans. Here is a link to the map, you may have to join the board to see it though.

I'm currently poor. I won't be going. It's nice knowing both my football teams are undefeated! Of course, neither have played anyone that's been very tough, but still.
