Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Took the Glock 19, AK-74, and the Mosin Nagant out for some 4th of July fun.

The Glock and AK performed as expected. But I was looking forward to shooting the Mosin the most, since I just got it last week.

We were down by the river in Desoto. I had a blast shooting it, hitting my targets about 100 yards away. The recoil was very manageable. I was only able to fire off 15 or 20 rounds with it before we got scared away by cops in the area. But I can already tell that it was one of the best gun purchases I've ever made. Total cost was under $160(including shipping and FFL transfer fee), and it was worth every penny. Its an incredible value for a large caliber rifle. Can't wait to shoot it again.

If anybody is looking for a great bang for the buck rifle, I highly recommend getting a Mosin. Just make sure the bore is in good shape, since most of these rifles were fired with corrosive ammo.

I'm planning on going to the gun show this weekend at the Overland Park International Trade Center. I'll be on the lookout for another Mosin Nagant or two, and maybe some more ammo if prices are reasonable.

Awesome.

I did a mild celebration by shooting my 24" Bull, 1911, and XDs.

It was too windy to celebrate anti-terrorist style by lighting up some 1000 yarders with the .308.

You don't get a Nagant, Nagant gets you.

Nice. It feels great to pop off a few rounds to celebrate Independence Day.

The poor Brits get booted from the US, and now they have to live with horrific gun control laws.

The buttstock on the SKS looks like shit, and the bayonet is jammed.

I need to rip the scope off of the Nagant, too.

They sold out of Mosins a couple days ago. Anything they get in stock tends to sell out quick, especially ammo. I'm sure they'll get more Mosins in stock soon.

I almost bought from Centerfire Systems. They've got free shipping on firearms over $99 right now.

My only real gripe with my SKS is it's not a small rifle, that is, it's pretty darn big and heavy. This adds to it's accuracy and reliability but it's combersome to hall around.
