that Chiefs fans could completely obliterate the world record roar that Denver fans recently set. C'mon!! They had to rehearse to get that loud!! What was it, 125db? Arrowhead checks in at 116db without even trying!! Just imagine what we could do with an organized rehearsal like the pile high fans had!! The record will fall.
GO CHIEFS!!! BEAT 'DA FADERS!! 'Da wagon is in 1rst gear. |

There is no way it was that loud in Denver. They did it at halftime, when 1/2 the crowd is either getting snacks or "disposing" of them.

It has been documented that they play the crowd noise back through the sound system at Mile High adding artifical noise to the enviroment.
Thus, voila!!! Louder noise. "Cheating" louder noise, though. But then, it's Denver... what'd ya expect? ------------------ Frodo lives!! Go Chiefs!! |

I hope they don't test the Arrowhead crowd at halftime. The best time to do it would be during the Raiders or Rams game on their 1st offensive series.

Not sure how many of you were there for the Chiefs vs Raiders Playoff game a few years back, But I was And I know that during one point in the game it was louder than I have EVER heard.
I believe it was when Todd Maronivich was backed up on 3rd & 30 or something like that. And after having experianced that, I know that no stadium has ever been louder. TO bad the didn't test it then. |

Mizzou - I disagree on the timing, this last game it was really the 4th quarter when it was the absolute loudest, the enitre crowd was going nuts.

During the Seattle Monday night game, during the 4th quarter when Seattle was pushed back about the 10 or 15, Kitna stepped back to audible and the crowd was the loudest Bob Dole has ever heard. It was already near deafening, and when Kitna stepped back, the 3 people that weren't already screaming started in and the rest of us bumped it up to maximum.
It was truly an amazing moment to witness. |

Morph,
It sounded really loud on TV late in that Monday night game. I wonder if they could just keep a mic in the stadium throughout the entire game to pick up the loudest moments. ------------------ It looks I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue! Don't ya just luv it when the crowd is so loud a ringing/buzzing sound starts in yer ears?
I was in the upper level nosebleed seats (row 30+) and I still got the buzz. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience! |

Redhed - Upper section row 21, myself. Only a little closer.
Mizzou - I think they need to set up a visual meter below the endzone screens to show how loud it is. Kind of a meter that will peak the crowds into screaming even louder. It would be well worth the $10,000 dollar fine for each home game. |

Great idea morph! We already have motivation to drown out all sound for our opponents, if we had more by showing a digital audio readout and trying to get all of those bars peaking in the red, that would be awesome.
I think this record the Broncos attempted was bogus. It should be done in the middle of a game with action taking place, not set up and rehearsed. That would be like someone setting a rushing record with no one else on the field at half time. |

At the risk of downright blasphemy here, I've got to say this.
Many stadiums 'pipe' in the crowd noise to make things significantly louder than they actually are. Has anyone considered the possibility this is being done at Arrowhead as well? I'm settin myself up for a serious beating by sayin it, but surely I'm not the only one this has occurred to. ------------------ [b]ct Give TRich the Ball!!!</B> |
