Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

I'm guessing that we'll start over in the beta???

It'll be interesting to see what else is available to us when we get to that stage.

Some people on neogaf found out that the exclusive content they talked about at E3 (the Strike mission, multiplayer map, guns/ships) are exclusive to the PS4 until the fall of 2015.

I wonder how long the DLC they are sure to add during the course of the game will be exclusive, or maybe the DLC won't be exclusive at all... A year-long wait for content is way too long.

Beta details (as well as CE details) were announced today, as well as names and sparse details for the first two expansions (The Dark Below and House of Wolves).

Beta's going to run from the 17th to the 21st on PS3-4, then go down for maintenance. Then it'll be on all four platforms from the 23rd through the 27th.

Guess I still need to get this pre ordered. Trying to decide whether to get the physical disk or just download it.

I should have mentioned before, for anybody on the fence (not saying you are...), IGN has (or had) some beta keys available: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/...+4+Articles%29

I got one maybe an hour ago. I think they're all claimed now.

Just preorder it on Amazon and cancel it after the beta until you decide. That's what I'm doing. I'm gonna read if the preloading on the PSN store works before I decide because I would like to play it on midnight on Sept. 9th.

I don't get tax free on amazon. I have to use newegg. Kind of hoping they do a preorder discount.

Not yet, been waiting for the best deal I could find. Plan to pull the trigger by the end of the week.

Very nice. I saw that Destiny bundle and that white PS4 looks freaking incredible. Too bad it doesn't come out for another 2 months.

I hate white consoles. Don't know what it is but they just look like cheap plastic to me. I prefer black as they are just less noticeable.

I'm inclined to just preorder from the PSN store so I don't have to worry about always needing the disk. Kind of sucks they don't have any pre order benefits other than the beta access. This is obviously a game that will be played for 10 years so I won't be trading it in anyway.

I thought about it, but it's kind of hard to do the beta without the console.

Plus all my furniture is black...
