It's possible. Although Reid talking up how he's a championship caliber left tackle a few times in the last week makes it sound more like actual trade bait then trying to lower his contract demands. But who knows. None of us in the room, so to speak.

We don't have a later pick in the first round, and if we did, Geno almost certainly won't be there. So that's kind of a moot argument.

People need to stop looking at picks like Ben, Flacco and Rodgers (as well as the guys who've gone in the 2nd) as successes for their franchises. Because while they were, what those selections really are are massive failures by all of the franchises that had the opportunity but didn't draft them before the Steelers, Ravens and Packers.

There is absolutely no difference between people expecting the Alex Smith move to blow up in the team's face and people expecting the Alex Smith move to lead to 5 years of "steak and blow job Sunday!". Because none of us actually know what's going to happen, no matter how the back-and-forth may be phrased. And nobody actually wants the team to fail. And nobody will actually gain any kind of enjoyment from that if it happens. And there's really no need for you to constantly lecture everybody for having an opinion you don't agree with.

You are smarter than this. Optimism is hope, not a claim of fact. That is very different than Hamas saying as a statement of fact that the Chiefs will continue to suck. If you can't tell the difference than there is no point having a discussion with you.
