The ****ing around with him at RT for a year, the lack of necessary offseason training due to surgery, the whiffs, the "nicks" here and there, the bullshit with Stephenson last year, all of it.

But he's here. We let go of Albert. He's our starter. And he played pretty damn well in the second half of last season.

There's no reason at all to NOT celebrate this extension. He gets his money, and we as fans can forget about LT until his wheels fall off.

If we ever again burn the #1 overall pick on a MAC-conference LT who won't be truly pro-ready until his 2nd/3rd year, trust me. I'll be that old guy.
Because GENO SMITH!

Branden brokedick Albert happily in the retirement home that is Miami.

Give me a frickin' break. This Fisher deal is money well-spent.

The signing of M Schwartz and this extension for Fisher bode very well for the Chiefs. We've had significant OL questions for a few years, and now it appears that we're gonna have some much needed stability across the whole line. Injuries aside, we'll see the impact of said stability with improved offensive performance. Dorsey is building a powerhouse.

Eric Fisher & Lane Johnson are the only two 2013 1st round picks to sign contract extensions so far

Agreed. If we can manage to move Jah Reid into a backup role this season, we'll be sitting pretty.

I've missed the hype on Ehinger. Glad to hear initial reactions are positive. Since you brought him up, any word on LDT's progress?

Very good pt interactions, strong with the endocrine system, cardiovascular interests are waining, and seems to be picking up things well overall.....

You could say the exact same thing about the 2009 draft and he'd probably yell MARK SANCHIZE!!! while your point goes two miles over his head. Reading comprehension evidently isn't strong with that one.

I like this deal a great bit to be honest. Fisher really took a step last year and I think he continues to get better. If it's one thing Andy can identify, it's left tackles.

I love the fact that they have the LT and RT locked up for 5 years.
