I gotta be honest...I was hoping Mayock was gonna come out and pimp Geno. Kinda surprised he isn't.

Oh well, nobody is perfect...Mayock had Colin Kaepernick and Ricky Stanzi tied in level of prospect at this time in 2011.

Geno Smith, Matt Barkley headline 2013 Gruden Camp

By Matt Rybaltowski | CBSSports.com
February 14, 2013 3:45 pm ET

Nine quarterback prospects, including Geno Smith and Matt Barkley have been invited to participate in Jon Gruden's QB Camp in the weeks leading up to April's NFL Draft.

The wildly popular series has increased in size and scope since its inception in 2010. Although Gruden invited just four quarterbacks to the initial camp, all four wound up being selected in the first three rounds. The number of invitees increased to six in 2011 and 10 last year.

Besides the two aforementioned quarterbacks, Tyler Bray of Tennessee, Zac Dysert of Miami (Ohio), Mike Glennon of N.C. State, Landry Jones of Oklahoma, EJ Manuel of Florida State, Ryan Nassib of Syracuse and Tyler Wilson of Arkansas have been invited to the camp. Smith, Barkley and Glennon have all received first-round grades in CBSSports.com's latest Draft projections.

All of the quarterbacks will be invited for a film session in Gruden's office at the Fired Football Coaches Association (FFCA) in Tampa, Fla. A large percentage will also look to showcase their arm strength for the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders' head coach in an on-field workout.

While Gruden has looked to extend invitations to the majority of the top prospects over the last three years, there have been several noticeable absences. In 2011, neither Colin Kaepernick, nor Christian Ponder attended the camp. Last season, both Kaepernick and Ponder finished with a higher quarterback rating than Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert -- a pair of 2011 attendees.

Gruden thought highly of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson before last year's Draft. With a smaller frame than a prototypical quarterback, Wilson was unable to garner a first round projection much like Drew Brees in 2001. Gruden, though, described Wilson's intangibles as being “off the charts” and felt he could flourish if placed in the right system. Seattle selected Wilson with the No. 75 pick in the third round.

The Bills, Cardinals, Chiefs and Eagles may consider a quarterback in the early rounds. Last year, former Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore and former Houston quarterback Case Keenum went undrafted after appearing on the program.

I have a really bad feeling race is gonna be a huge issue to get past in acclimating this dawg to our fan base.

It's a good thing he has no issues like Cam or he would instantly be LJ 2.0

Ok, listen real close.

Alex Smith's team lost close games in spite of the fact that he had a great defense and o line.
Geno Smith's team lost close games despite the fact that he had NO defense and No o line.

If you can't see a difference, you are a moron.
