First glances at several QBs we're going to give a shit about over the next four months. Feel free to set me straight.

DeShone Kizer, Notre Dame
6'4", 230 lbs
26-9 TD-INT, 59%, 2925 passing yards

I get a Cutlerian vibe from this guy. Seems to be built like a franchise QB. Powerful arm, some beautiful passes, perfect bodytype. But he is lacking an "it" factor, is he not? He's not a world-beating, overcome-the-odds, particularly spiriting QB. Looks like he could have an okay career in the NFL in which he wins nothing of consequence.

Mitch Trubisky, North Carolina
6'3", 220 lbs
30-6 TD-INT, 69%, 3748 passing yards

Well if there was one Andy Reid QB in this entire draft, it's Trubisky, isn't it? Super accurate, doesn't take too many risks with the ball, is very mentally tough and very athletic. He's a slam dunk for the Chiefs to trade up for, if he lasts to the 20s, but in a QB-starved NFL with at least 6 new head coaches looking for their QB, there's no chance he lasts to us.

Does it really matter when Patrick was throwing the ball far more times than Allen? That just doesn't mesh for me.

You need to pray that Josh Allen isn't a Denver Bronco come April.

You have zero room to make fun of me for Geno if you actually believe Josh Allen is a better QB prospect than Mahomes.

Just because Mahomes played in the Air Raid doesn't mean all of his dudes were wide open all the time. You would know that if you actually watched his games or at the very least read a goddamn scouting report longer than 140 characters.

I'm not talking to you specifically here because you already know, but even in college Mahomes was making numerous amazing throws where there was tight coverage. Off the top of my head I just think of the two fade passes at Texas his junior year and against K-State (the one he got hit on while he threw). Those guys had a step on the DB and Patrick put it in the absolute perfect spot each time.

But, that was pretty routine for him if we're all being honest.

I'd love to see the alternate universe where the Chiefs need a QB and Denver has Mahomes. I wonder what Knowmo would be saying about this QB class.

I watch the same YouTube cutups everybody else does on here. You rarely see Wyoming's receivers get any separation.

It wasn't really a viable possibility last year because they had just drafted Lynch but if Denver would have gotten Mahomes... I would have been ****ing sick.

Go look for Mahomes against LSU, full game. I don't think I have ever seen a team more overmatched than that game. Even LeRaven Clark, a 3rd round draft pick, got his ass thoroughly kicked by LSU's defensive line. Mahomes was pulling magic straight out of his ass against a team LOADED with NFL talent all over the field.

I went through and counted from the box score one day.. that LSU defense had 9 NFL defenders (some that will be drafted this year) who played that day IIRC.

Including some super studs like Deion Jones, Arden Key, Jamal Adams and Tre'davious White who was burned on a deep pass by Grant.

LSU should not have been in that bowl game, but the SEC always plays with the matchups to give them the best chance of winning. LSU was supposed to be in a better bowl game, but it was an easy choice to put them in Houston against Tech. Guaranteed win for the SEC and easy travel location for LSU fans.
