LJ has 60 carries for 261 yards and 3 touchdowns to the right side of the field. That's 4.35 yards per carry. In 2003 Priest averaged 3.68 yards per carry to the right side. In 2002 he averaged 4.37. So anyway you look at it, Welbourn has made a difference.

Roaf. He is still a dominant player and without him the offense goes from being a top 3 offense to below average. That says a lot.
Allen is a distant #2. The problem with Allen is the rest of the defense. The guy creates some big plays that the rest of the team just doesn't capitalize on. Years ago when DT would turn the corner and knock the ball free from a QB you just knew that Saleamua or Phillips or Smith was going to fall on the ball and create a turnover. Or when DT got a big sack, the rest of the D stepped up the rest of the drive (if there was one). Allen strips the ball and nobody is around to grab it. He gets a sack or a good pressure and the Chiefs still let the opposition convert critical third downs. |

I should mention too that I have a newfound appreciation for Tony Richardson's blocking ability. (Ahem, cough, cough.)
I love LJ, too. His stats are amazing for a guy who has started only half the year.

LJ is probably going to finish the season 2nd in the AFC in rushing yards and touchdowns...that's pro bowl material.

LJ is rightfully leading this poll.
I think he will make the pro bowl, too. I can't think of a third RB that is more deserving in the AFC.

Priest had a Pro Bowl year through 8 games last year. Was he deserving? Heck no.

Larry Johnson deserves it most and if he gets 120 yards and 2 TDs each game of the last three he will probably get it.
Jared Allen is probably deserving but being on the #27 (or whatever) defense will probably hurt his chances a bit. Past these two, an argument could be made for the following players: Roaf, Waters, Mitchell and maybe Richardson (do they always select a fullback?). Along these same lines, who does everybody like for -Rookie of the year? -Offensive Rookie of the year? and -Defensive Rookie of the year? |

most deserving would be kawika. he was a scrub ready to be written off and has completely changed that. allen had a good year last year and has done better this year but did as expected, roaf is already a pro bowler done expected, waters is already a probowler done expected, and LJ outdid expected but expected was pretty farking good, at least from what ive thought dating back to last season, is obviously a probowler. but mitchell is most "deserving"

DV said that Jared Allen has not been out of the last three games on D, and also plays on the wedge.

If it wasnt for the injury, Roaf would top this list. LJ wouldn't nearly be as good without Roaf.
