Donald Trump on poll slump: 'I don't get it'

http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/27/politi...lls/index.html

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump said he doesn't understand his recent drop in polls, but he continued his attacks on Ben Carson, who has knocked him from the top spot in Iowa and -- in at least one survey -- nationwide among Republicans.

"I don't get it," Trump said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Tuesday. "I'm going there (to Iowa) actually today and I have tremendous crowds and I have tremendous love in the room and, you know, we seem to have hit a chord. But some of these polls coming out, I don't quite get it. "

No.

I used to think that Jeb! was the GOP's best shot to beat Hillary, but at this point I now think Rubio would be their best chance. Not that the GOP has a great chance to begin with, but he would probably maximize their odds.

There does not seem to be an anti-interventionist peace and freedom candidate at all this cycle in either party. Which is kind of surprising and sad.

Absolutely. Independents hate Hillary and will even more when the campaign ads start running.

Even though Rubio lied about his background for years? The Republicans may not bring it up nationally but you can bet the farm that the Dems will and they should. He was a habitual liar telling "heartfelt" tearful lies to audiences.

Not many people are really going to give a shit that Rubio's parents left Cuba a couple years before Castro took over, and not right after as he originally said. This sounds about as relevant to me as Clinton's e-mail "scandal"

I have no idea how to handicap this election. If it's Hillary against Carson or Trump, I could see a lot of apathetic Democrats staying home and the Republican base flocking to the polls. Then again, I could also see a bunch of moderates going "Hillary is a liar, but she isn't insane" and voting for her.

If it's Bernie...I really have no idea.

If Carson or Trump are nominated (very unlikely), then the election is over. The Dems would hardly be apathetic, negative turnout would be tremendous. Neither of them would win a national general election, barring a felony indictment of their opponent.

Trump is the least interventionist. Then Rand....though he's tougher to pin down on it.

Candidates should only be judged on their actions.

Trump: opposed Iraq
Hillary: voted for it

Thats minimizing what he said. He stood up in front of large crowds and told stories, completely made up of his families harsh times under the yolk of Castro. This isn't some fudge on a resume. That why he was elected to the Florida Senate in the first place, his family suffered under Castro.

Lest we forget he was STILL telling those lies as late as 2011 after he was elected Senator.

Most people in Florida were not aware of his lies when he was elected Senator. He came clean in 2011, kind of. He has not faced the voters since it became public knowledge. But, maybe like you said it doesn't matter to the voters.

I prefer to watch the 3rd installment of the Tom Woods-Lew Rockwell Debate Autopsy Show instead.

You are usually pretty savvy when it comes to politics, but if you think Ben Carson is beating HRC, I need some of what you are smoking.

Not.Gonna.Happen.

Marco Rubio has the best shot. Maybe the only one.
