Rest of our schedule looks very favorable

Broncos
@Browns
Cardinals
Rams-Mexico
@Raiders
Ravens
Chargers
@Seahawks
Raiders

Quick analysis:
-3 of those teams have a winning record.
-Chargers come to Arrowhead on a short week (big disadvantage for them).
-Raiders will probably give up by week 17.

Hard to see us go any worse than 13-3 with this schedule.

When the Cubs had a young roster full of MVP caliber players, they suddenly won some shit.

Funny how that works out.

The only common thread of those previous losses is that none of them involved a dynamic young QB who may already be the best in the game but is almost inarguably in the top 5 and is surrounded by the best skill position talent in the conference.

You can't say "I don't believe in curses but we keep losing at home so we're probably going to again" without acknowledging that the ONLY reason you think that has to be a belief in curses.

I mean...I believe in curses so I'm convinced we're going to lose at home...because Chiefs. But at least I can admit that I'm broken by this franchise and not try to make some rational argument for it. There isn't a rational argument to be made.

There's no reason at all why this team wouldn't benefit from games at home in the post-season.

The Sunday night game that week is Steelers at Raiders. Will be flexed.

Other options

Eagles @ Cowboys
Bengals @ Chargers
Falcons @ Packers-not likely unless Falcons start improving
Saints @ Buccaneers
Chiefs @ Ravens

My guess Bengals/Chargers

Except you, like everybody else, is missing one key element - I never said ""I don't believe in curses but we keep losing at home so we're probably going to again".

This isn't a "Chiefs" thing. It's the entire AFC, including Brady, Elway, and Manning.

I remember when the Red Sox hadn't won shit forever. Until they did.

Same with the Cubs.

I'm not worried about that shit anymore. The only thing we've been cursed with lately has been Check Down Alice. And he's gone.

I think last night we saw this team arrive. And I also believe that had we not been decimated by injuries to our defensive starters we'd have won that game in New England, probably should have beat them anyway, and can and will beat them again, whether it's in Boston or Kansas City. And if we can't, "wait till next year" is okay, because now we have a next year worth waiting for.

You do believe in curses if you believe 13 wins is some kind of harbinger of doom.

There's NOTHING but a belief in curses at work there.

No, that's simply not true. It isn't magic. There is some CAUSE at work and just because I can't definitively say what it is doesn't mean it's freaking unicorns and fairy dust.

Eh, we fist-**** some team on national television most seasons. Weirdly, it had been the Patriots recently but I won't say 'we've arrived' just because we savaged some team at night at Arrowhead.

But I think we have a better chance to win a championship than all but maybe 2 teams in football and I'll just say those 2 squads are even with us.

But I've watched the Chiefs lose 5 or 6 straight playoff games I've attended (including a road game). I've watched the Tigers lose 3 conference championship games and 2 more bowl games I've attended. I root for the !@#$ing Blues. My kicked dog syndrome in sports goes well beyond just the Chiefs.

When I'm in public or with my buddies - I talk the biggest game of all of us. I have said the 2018 Chiefs can win the SB since the week 17 of last year vs. Denver to anyone that will listen. But when the lights go off and I'm alone with my thoughts - that worry is always there...

Because. Chiefs.

We've screwed it up after winning 9, 10, 11 and 12 games as well, so winning 13 isn't really a jinx to me.

So much this. We could finish this season 15-1, end up facing a 7-9 Jags team that skated through the WC round because Rivers died during the game, up 35-0 at half, and the little voice in the back of my head would still be telling me to expect another miracle loss. Because Chiefs.

I can't wait until "Because Chiefs" is replaced by "Because Mahomes", and the dynasty is rolling on. And that little voice can finally be exorcised.
