Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.


Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?



Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

They make a 4 inch 12 gauge shotgun shell now? I know the 3-1/2 have been around for awhile. I have some XXX buck in 3-1/2, that's nineteen 32cal balls per bang :-)

It has become a massive down stream problem now with an almost 1/2 mile long log jam involved in it. Absentee landowners who don't give a shit and now the state is getting involved.

We're going to have to wait and see how it plays out to fix our end before playing with anymore toys.

So went to the gun store looking for a pistol ran across a Taurus 1911 9mm. Not gonna lie I love it. But I've never had a non American gun what do you guys think? Pull the trigger and buy it or no?

If you have a gun range that rents try it out first and if you like it, get it. I have not had the best of luck with Taurus 9mm's but I have not owned that model.

One of the major problems with Taurus 1911 is that they don't use standard 1911 parts.

You would suggest rock island over Taurus? Suprised my friend has a rock island that's been trouble from day one. Was considering the sr1911 on sale locally for around 650. But don't really want to shoot 45 at roughly .50 cents a round.
