Wednesday will mark the 3 year anniversary of Kansas's last win over a conference opponent. That's 1,097 days - longer than John F Kennedy was president (1,036 days - there have actually been 7 presidents who served terms shorter than this losing streak).

The losing streak against current members of the Big 12 would then sit at 1,489 days. If they are unable to beat Oklahoma State or West Virginia, this streak will move into two-term president territory, passing the length of Abraham Lincoln's presidency (1,503 days).

Speaking of Abraham Lincoln, the length of that streak against current members of the Big 12, 1,489 days? That was exactly the length of the Civil War. (4/21/1861-5/10/1865)

Both streaks have passed in length the United States' participation in World War I and the War of 1812. The streak against any conference opponent is due to pass the Korean War soon (3 years, 1 month) and World War II (3 years, 8 months).

For their sake, I hope we don't resolve this current war any time soon.

As long as we're doing "last conference win" trivia...

Mizzou has won a Big 12 game more recently than Kansas, a B1G game more recently than Illinois, and a PAC 12 game more recently than Colorado.

Going back to the start of last basketball season, Mizzou has the exact same number of total basketball and football wins as TCU and West Virginia combined.

I believe Missouri, Nebraska, Colorado and Texas A&M all have more recent Big 12 wins.

They do. There are teams in four conferences who have won games as members of the Big 12 more recently than Kansas...plus teams that have moved from the WAC and Big East into the Big 12 and won games in the Big 12 since Kansas last won.

Found this on goEMAW, but I think it came from another source. Probably phognet. Didn't care enough to look deeper. But here it is.

This points out one thing clearly: That waxing rhapsodic over Mason/Mangino is also kind of sad. Mason had a single good season. Mangino had a single great season aided by the schedule.

This is Jim Wooldridge bad. His Big XII Bball stats are worse.

Holy ****. That football program needs shutting down and the school moved to the Valley. Never realized it was that embarrasing.

You'd think KSU and Mizzou could get what KU has since KU is so terrible.

Yet they don't. Strange.

You had one fluke season that resulted in that unearned thing you talk about. Nobody is arguing against that.

You built a statue to a guy who's like 2-27 all time vs top 10 teams. One of which was Kansas 1995.

Kansas finished 3rd in the final 2007 computer rankings which factor schedule. You are a whiny bitch who will never be able to cope with Kansas' success that year. Your pain makes it even more enjoyable.
