The Chiefs Sent Out This Post Game Note To The Media

Cassel Passing Leader in First Four Games: With 251 passing yards today, QB Matt Cassel has accumulated 1,058 passing yards in the first four games of the season. That mark ranks him first in franchise history for most passing yards during the first four games of the season. He breaks QB Joe Montana’s record of 1,054 yards in the first four games of the 1994 season.

A video could surface of Matt Cassel beating a sack of puppies with a brick and the front office would be all like:

LOL CHIEFS FANS..THAT SILLY MATT IS GETTIN RID OF DISTRACTIONS SO HE CAN CONTINUE TO SET FRANCHISE RECORDS FOR YOUR KC CHIEFS. THOSE PUPPIES NIBBLED UP SOME PAGES IN HIS PLAYBOOK.

Soon enough Pioli will have reporters who talk bad about Cassel put in prison.

If there's any silver lining...
This comes out. And Romeo's first comment before anybody said anything was talking about the QB situation and showing his commitment to Cassel.

It sounds like the Chiefs know this is a problem. And they know there isn't a good backup solution. I have to wonder if Pioli's motivation for pushing Cassel is that he knows that the slim-to-none chance Cassel turns this season around is the only way he can keep his job.

A few months ago, I would have viewed this arrogance. Today, I think it's desperate. That's progress.

Will someone please ask this pathetic cock gobblers to look at the game stats and where the Chiefs were in the contest when most of those yards arrived?

Also, since we're comparing to Joe Montana....where was Joe on his TD to INT/Fumble ratio at this point in that season? better yet, W-L.

And let us not forget, Cassel put the team in position to kick SIX field goals last week, and that was a team record! QB is a leadership position for more than just the offense. The special teams owes him a tip of the cap, as well.

Seriously, do you think this is the #1 offense in the NFL? An offense that has never led for 1 second this season of actual clock time? And let's not lay all of that at the feet of the defense.

It's called Garbage Time Gus Stats 101 in your local college course description guide.

The offense is a piece of shit. The defense at least shows up at times, if it weren't for Jamaal Charles KC wouldn't score AT ALL.

What is the offense rated while they're actually still in the game?
