Looks like its going to be launched at 1130 est.

Red Bull Stratos is a mission to the edge of space that will try to surpass human limits that have existed for more than 50 years. Supported by a team of experts, Felix Baumgartner will undertake a stratospheric balloon flight to more than 120,000 feet / 36,576 meters and make a record-breaking freefall jump in the attempt to become the first man to break the speed of sound in freefall (an estimated 690 miles / 1,110 kilometers per hour), while delivering valuable data for medical and scientific advancement.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't know how they control that. When he was up in the jet stream his lateral speed was like 80 mph. While it was much less before and after, it was still like 15 mph and he'll have drifted for almost two hours by the time he jumps...

Cool, I have flown over that airport about 25 times on my way to Santa Teresa. They have a bunch of old airplanes parked all over the place.

There is an abandoned airport about 4 miles south of there, too.

I like how they have that tread tape on the platform outside the capsule. Wouldn't want him to slip and, you know, fall off.
