Movies and TV SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 86

The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread.

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

This is a G-rated version of Scene 3, and it's got some cuts. However, you still have to log into youtube to see it. Sorry. It's a bit over the line for this tournament in its raw form.

My votes:

#1 - Rudy. You have to like the guy coming in and getting a sack and then being carried off the field. It's kind of an uplifting finish.

#2 - American Psycho. It's hard to vote for this one because there are 9 million versions out there, all with various cuts. It's a little too risque for mainstream viewing. But it looks fun.

#3 - The Shawshank Redemption. It's a fine scene. I have nothing against it. It's just in a strong heat.

As a teaser, Heat 88 is going to be a blockbuster. I wish I could move one of its scenes to Heat 87 or 89, but I have to follow the rules.

After the heat yesterday with the Time machine scene, I made it a point to get a full viewing of Napoleon Dynamite in today.
