Underachieving rarely affects basketball recruiting. Thus how Scott Drew continually signs amazing recruiting classes despite never doing as much with them as he should.

I'd be more worried about Tim Fuller accepting a head coaching job somewhere than anything else. He's a workhorse/dynamo .

Missouri has a good chance with a lot of big names in 2014. Landing a few of them will tell us a lot about Haith's future here.

Oh, one other thing... Missouri is recruiting 2013 PG Kendall Yancy-Harris pretty heavily still and is in the mix. Tells me the coaches are also pretty sure what I heard yesterday about Pressey being gone is true.
Jacobson didn't leave UNI. McDermott's dad left to go coach Creighton. UNI didn't have to release him from his LOI, and there was actually quite a bit of backlash in CedarLoo that they did.

The coach most certainly did NOT leave.

Kim English started a thread over at PowerMizzou titled "Number of PMers with NBA Draft Picks: 0, and then had this to say:

Re: number of PMers with nba draft selections this June. Reply
If you blame the CSU loss on Phil, you're nuts and have no clue about basketball, if you think we should've "pounded it inside" you're an idiot.. If you say Haith should be fired, you're overly emotional and ridiculous and have a false sense of reality.

The reason we loss, is because CSU was a tough ass team.. They had tough ass dudes and understand what it takes to win in the NCAA tournament. Throw talent and strategy out the window. First round games are emotion and will. Whoever imposes it, will advance.

This team had very little chemistry, frank Haith had to scratch and claw to try and find a team to put on the court. 4 transfers he had to find. 3 of the transfers have never won big in there college careers. Winning in the reg season has everything to do with chemistry and game planning. The game planning was there, I can tell you that. Chemistry not so much.

Phil played with dudes who could score the ball at a VERY efficient rate. Dixon, Ratliffe, Marcus and Myself. He never had to work hard or be a scoring threat. He never had to initiate a fight, he came to the fight with his big brothers. He was in a very tough position to start the season with brand new cast of characters.

I know I'm random in my thoughts. But I'm in the locker room in Charlotte just writing all this before I take the court for my pre game workout. I'm looking forward to reading stuff after I'm done. Last point. We didn't "throw it inside". Because we didn't have anyone to "throw it in too". Lbo at best is a slasher in transition and offensive rebound scorer. With pick and pop ability to 17 feet. AO is pick and roll machine and beast on the glass. Neither are players you just throw it in to. That would not have been our best offense.

I just blurted all my cluttered thoughts into this post. Maybe Gabe and I will do a brief post season podcast about this team. So my words may sound more coherent.
Kim is ridiculous, pulling the bullshit "you don't know about basketball" card, and I really wonder if he watched much MU this year, given that his points --when they're even coherent enough to form an argument-- are so off-base. But whatever; he's in the NBA and I'm not, so he's right.

He also blatantly ignores the greater issue with the program, and doesn't seem to catch the irony, if his assertion that "First round games are emotion and will" is actually true..

Eh, his thesis is that the transfers were bitches, and the team lacked chemistry because of this.

Next year will be the definitive statement on this and Haith's worthless ass.

You're absolutely right.

I'm mostly annoyed with Kim's arrogant posting history at PM. He took a self-imposed sabbatical because he couldn't stand to read the plebs' reactions to the game he "knows so well". Makes you wonder why the **** he was there in the first place, given the nature of message boards and all. That just speaks more to the idea that he's a pretty arrogant guy, even if he does justify it to others (and, likely, himself) as just wanting to help.

Yep. He's there because he cannot not be there.

If he is looking for rational reactions to the games, then an internet message board is not the best place at all. All he is going to get there is people complaining about fouls and wanting everyone fired and kicked off the team after every game.

I understand why he reacts with an emotional response though.

Louisville would have stomped a mud hole in our asses anyway. Better to lose first round if your not gonna make it past this week anyways.

Bowers in bound pass vs ole miss sums up this season perfectly
