2009 Mock Draft

I thought this was odd...

"The draft order in this mock draft was determined by calculated judgment on how I believe the teams will fair this season. All of the prospects in this mock draft are eligible for the 2009 draft, but just because they’re eligible, that doesn’t mean they will declare. With that said, congratulations to the Dallas Cowboys for winning Super Bowl XLIII and to the Kansas City Chiefs for finishing with the worst record, as they continue to rebuild their football team. The Chiefs are now on the clock…"

The same team won games before Croyle took center stage with an old, beat up, back up QB. I can't believe some of you guys are standing up for a QB that hasn't even proved that he can win a game in the NFL yet.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, Mr. picasso. It's just like the Planet. There are guys who (early in their posting career) can post 700 or 800 times without making any sense, whatsoever. Sometimes it just takes a while to get the hang of it.

Besides, lots of young NFL quarterbacks have problems winning in their first seasons ... even those with good lines and offensive coaches with actual brains and things.

First of all, if we're drafting #1 overall, it won't be used on a "project" QB.

But really, does everyone here just go along with the "experts" that we won't even win as many games as last year??? Even with the schedule we have? Geez, talk about pessimistic.

I mean, it's a stretch to guess who will win these games right now since we don't know about rookie holdouts, additions/subtractions after June 1, training camp reports, etc, but does everyone only see 3 wins from this schedule?

09/14/08 Oakland Raiders
09/21/08 at Atlanta Falcons
09/28/08 Denver Broncos
10/05/08 at Carolina Panthers

11/09/08 at San Diego Chargers
11/16/08 New Orleans Saints
11/23/08 Buffalo Bills
11/30/08 at Oakland Raiders

Fail.

Larry Johnson anyone? Brodie was kind of without his service for his starts...that might have been an issue. Just maybe. And it doesn't matter if he was at top form last year, teams gameplanned LJ, and when he went down they sure as hell weren't going to gameplan Harris or Smith.
Oh that is right I forgot about the incredible services that Larry Johnson provided us with last year was lost thus Croyle failed to compete. What? LJ didn't do crap all season, before or after he went down. BUT.... we still managed to win games without Croyle and lose them with him. And to compare him to Elway or Aikman or Manning is an overated comparison. For when these guys played they may have lost the game but they put their team on their shoulders. One thing that Croyle doesn't have....the ability to put a team on his shoulders and the lack of....shoulders.
